Connecting San Francisco residents to the public schools in their neighborhoods

Find public schools near you that need help.

Our Goal

Our goal is to strengthen communities and neighborhoods by connecting people with their local schools. Following a community schools model, people who live near a school can support and be part of the school community, even if they aren't parents of current students. We have talked to hundreds of people who live in San Francisco, who are willing to volunteer and support local schools, and who wish they were more connected to the schools in their neighborhoods. These residents include tech workers, former classroom teachers, SFUSD alumni, parents of alumni, retirees, and people from all backgrounds who believe in the power of education to change lives.

This project is part of SF Civic Tech and in partnership with the SF Ed Fund.
