Celebrating San Francisco residents who bring kindness, connection, and community to their neighborhoods

As part of launching San Francisco’s very first Good Neighbor Week in 2025, we launched the inaugural SF Good Neighbor Awards.

President Jimmy Carter proclaimed National Good Neighbor Day in 1978. It is celebrated across the country each year on September 28.

2026 SF Good Neighbor Week will be Sep 26 - Oct 4, 2026.
